We recommend starting your bridal gown search about 10–12 months before your wedding date. This may sound early, but here’s why:

• Designer gowns take 6-8 months to arrive after ordering

• You’ll want 8-12 weeks for alterations, at a minimum 

• And most importantly, shopping early gives you the luxury of time—time to breathe, try, reflect, and say yes without pressure

This doesn’t mean you need to say yes right away. But starting early means you can enjoy the process instead of racing the clock.

What If Your Wedding Is Sooner?

Don’t worry. You’re not the first bride to come in with a shorter timeline—and you won’t be the last.

That’s why we don’t recommend shopping “just for fun” years in advance. Instead, book your appointment when you’re truly ready to find the one.
